British Council and Daffodil International University are collaborating on several programs starting from April 2011. These programs are the milestones of understanding between the two reputed institutions.
Book Reading Competition: At present Book Reading Competition is being implemented at Daffodil Tower of DIU. More than one hundred students of English, Law, Journalism and Mass Communication, BBA and Real Estate are taking part in it. The students will read some selected texts provided by British Council and after three months there will be an assessment. Those who will secure 40% marks will get certificates from British Council. Top scorers will get the opportunity to learn English through different courses offered by British Council free of charge. The champion in the reading competition will be offered a trip to London sponsored by British Council.
Corporate Membership and teacher/student training: Being a corporate member, Daffodil International University will enjoy access to the vast resources and language training programs of British Council. Resources include books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs and documentary films under the category of Open Learning Centre. Teachers and students will be trained for English language proficiency in small groups as required and proposed by the university.
