About Program:

 

The Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship was established in 2015 with the vision of creating a sustainable entrepreneurial eco-system in the country driven by the innovation and creativity of local entrepreneurs. Its mission is to create young leaders in the society who will be able to solve the social problems or fulfil the needs and wants of their targeted people. It also aims at providing students a platform to develop relevant entrepreneurial skills through practical assignment and project work and elevating the growth of new business through continuous support. Moreover, to become successful entrepreneurs or job holders, the department provides all support to the students such as mentoring, funding, co-working space, industry network and practical focused course curriculum.  

 

WHY THIS DEPARTMENT? 

  • Job crisis is one of the major problems in Bangladesh. According to World Bank said, 1 out of 3 graduates are unemployed in Bangladesh. Moreover, about 21 lac graduates enter the job market every year (The Daily star). 
  • Department of Innovation & Entrepreneurship established to address the job crisis of Bangladesh by making our students Entrepreneurs or making them competent to get job. 
  • Our Promise is to ensure 100% employability of students.  

 

CAREER PROSPECTS:

  1. You can become an Entrepreneur (start your own business)
  2. You can get job in National Companies (like-Bank, Telecom, RMG, Pharma, Leather, Food, Insurance, FMCG, IT companies, MFS like bKash, Cement, Textile, new startups and etc.)   
  3. You can get jobs multinational companies (MNCs).
  4. You can get government jobs (All kind of Govt. jobs including BCS)

Admission Requirements

General Student

·         Students having a minimum 2.50 GPA both in SSC and HSC or any equivalent background with a minimum "C" grade in English from any group may apply for admission.

English Medium Student

·         Students completing five O-level subjects and at least two A-level subjects may apply. Out of these 7 subjects, applicants must have minimum 4 "B" grade & 3 "C" grade.

BE MAJOR COURSES

The purpose of designing major courses is to pursue the absolute knowledge on entrepreneurship in detail from different industrial/business sectors.
