When I first came to the Daffodil International University campus, I was amazed at its peaceful environment and state of the arts IT facilities. I graduated from the Department of English of Daffodil International University. Apart from the excellent academic experiences, I also reaped benefits of being a part of multi-cultural student body at DIU. I continuously learned how to share ideas with people from different backgrounds and perspectives which equipped me with better interpersonal skills. I am really grateful to my Daffodil International University.
Currently, I have been working as the Senior Lecturer, Department of English, Bheramara College, Kushtia. I got Best Teacher Award from Bheramara College, Kushtia. The members of Daffodil International University Alumni Association feel proud of Mr. Golam Zilani for being elected the Director of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 19th December 2020. Mr. Zilani is the alumni of DIU English Department completed his graduation in 2009 from DIU.
From his initial understanding, he had the full of business leading and entrepreneurial mindset. Accordingly, he has developed himself especially in communication, negotiation, people management, dealing, setting business goal, development and implementation. Completing his graduation in Bachelor of English Literature, he didn’t wait for enjoying some leisure times, rather he had joined to a job and started working from an entry level. Gradually he did serve to several companies and developed his skillsets professionally. Through the repeated professional growth, he is now looking after the total business operations as the Director of Operations in Gateway Group. He has also some dynamic involvements with different social and business associations. He is the Conformity Assessment Committee Member of Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution-BSTI.
Interestingly he has a very patient, visionary and humble personality to learn, grow and earn the result in any professional action. He loves to start any project or venture from a beginning stage which gives him an entrepreneurial taste and slow-fast sustainable growth. If we exemplify the way of his mindset, we can view on his present role and position of DCCI what he started projecting in 2016 and lot of small inputs made his goal succeed.
Moreover, Mr. Zilani has balanced his academic excellence completing his MA in English Literature in 2010
