I have the pleasure to say a few words about the prospectus of General Educational Development (GED) Department which is going to be distributed among the students. I think it is a very good and innovative step. As a new Department of Daffodil International University, they have tried to uphold their salient features in this prospectus, in a lucid and effective manner. Daffodil International University consists of several departments and offers Bachelor of Engineering, Master of Engineering and other professional degrees in the field of Pharmacy, Food Science, Nutrition and Public Health.
Engineering is the science that made the properties of matter and the sources of power useful to human being. Technology turns Engineering ideas into practical devices, structures, machines and products. People working in Engineering and Technological sectors apply the principles of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics to solve practical technological problems. One of the problems in Engineering and Technological education is that the students cannot correlate Engineering and Natural Science subjects and find it difficult to apply the knowledge, they acquire from Natural Science along with Engineering-Technology classes.
Department of General Educational Development (GED) of Daffodil International University (DIU) is trying to develop a close relationship among Faculty of Engineering, Natural Sciences, English and others disciplines. The approach of GED is to guide the students toward their professional career where they can abridge the knowledge of Natural Science and Engineering. I hope this initiative from GED will be a great success and students will be highly benefitted. I wish the success of General Educational Development (GED) Department. Prof Dr. S. M.
