Aims
Daffodil International University conducts time-befitting and pragmatic curricula, which aim at not only extracting the potentialities and flair from our youth but also making the students competent in the job market both at home and abroad so they can meet the changing demands of society. This also accounts for the modern developments in different disciplines of study, especially in the field of multimedia, where technology evolves faster. In this regard Daffodil International University offers B.Sc. Program in Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT). Media Technology and Creative Arts, as a major discipline, has to be considered especially due to the emerging needs of professionals and a large employer group providing different multimedia and creative graphics services.

Eligibility for Admission
Students having a minimum 2.5 GPA or second division both in SSC and HSC from any background may apply for admission into Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT) as per the guideline of the University Grants Commission (UGC) of Bangladesh. Students completing five O-level subjects and at least two A-level subjects and obtaining at least a GPA of 2.0 may apply for admission.
Credit Requirement and Duration of the Program
To obtain B.Sc. in Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT), students will have to complete 147 credits with at least a CGPA of 2.50. If any student fails in any course, she/he will get the opportunity to improve the grade by retaking the same in the subsequent semesters. The program has 8 semesters normally extending over four academic years. Students willing to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT) will have to follow the general guidelines of degree requirements of the university.
Types of Courses
In the Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT) program, there are different types of courses, namely Humanities and Business courses, Mathematics and General Science courses, Core Courses, and Elective courses. Humanities courses are useful for the students to grow as a good citizens with social values and norms; mathematics and general science courses are necessary for the background preparations; core courses form the nucleus of the bachelor's degree program, and elective courses provide in-depth understanding in selected areas. Elective courses are offered from a list of elective courses in the final year of the program.
Multimedia and Creative Technology (MCT) has 4 areas of specialty such as 3D Animation & VFX Engineering, Visual Arts & Communication, Game Design & Development, and Film & Media.
3D Animation & VFX Engineering: Students will be able to gather knowledge about 3d Modeling, Architecture design & visualization, Simulation & Animation. To learn those topics, one needs basic knowledge of Mathematics, Physics, and Science.
Visual Arts & Communication: Students will be able to gather knowledge about Drawing & Sketching, painting, Graphic Design & Motion Graphics, Typography, and 2D Animation. To learn those topics, one needs basic knowledge about Humanities, Mathematics, General Science, Language, General education, and Business models.
Game Design & Development: Students will be able to gather knowledge about modeling, Game Design & Development, Augmented Reality& Virtual Reality. To learn those topics, one needs basic knowledge about Mathematics, Physics, Science, Humanities, Language and General education, and Business models.
Film & Media: Students will be able to gather knowledge of Film Writing, Cinematography, Pre-Production, and Post-Production. To learn those topics, need basic knowledge about Mathematics, Science, Humanities (Creative Writing, Theater, Bangladesh Studies), Language, and Business.
