22 students of University of Oxford visited DIU as a part of Cross Cultural Exchange Program


A team of 22 students from University of Oxford, United Kingdom visited Bangladesh from 16 March to 26 March 2017 and took part in several sessions of Cross Cultural Exchange Program at Daffodil International University (DIU).  During their visit in Bangladesh they held an exclusive Jazz Music Concert at the permanent campus of DIU in Birulia for the students. Around 3000 students of different departments took part to experience the Jazz musical performances by students of University of Oxford called THE DONUT KINGS, Oxford’s Big Band. This team comprises a Bangladeshi vocalist along with 21 English musicians who are highly experienced and academically excellent in university of Oxford.
 
During their participation at DIU, a Cross-Cultural Interactive Forum also was hosted where students of DIU and the University of Oxford shared and presented the academic expertise, learning, both of the country’s cultural ideas and opportunities. The session became very interactive with the participation of students from both ends. As a part of the Cross-Cultural Exchange Program, they experienced golf sessions at the green campus of DIU along with planting trees near the sports field. A group of DIU student leaders actively accommodate them for two weeks during their visit to Bangladesh.

An exceptional education can improve a person’s life by in terms of exchanging knowledge. Keeping this motto as a development strategy, DIU has wholeheartedly organized this cross cultural exchange program between DIU and University of Oxford student’s to share, learn and experience the academic as well as cultural practices of the world’s top ranked university. These 22 students expressed their satisfaction and great learning during their participation at DIU and showed their gratitude to come back again.
