  1. Q. When was the university founded?
    A. Daffodil International University has been founded by the Daffodil Group (One of the Leading Conglomerate in Bangladesh) with the approval of the Ministry of Education under the Private University Act of 1992 and its amendment in 1998. Daffodil International University came into being on 24th January, 2002.
  2. Q. I want to study at DIU. What courses do you offer? How do I apply? Is application from available online?

  4. Q. What are the Eligibilities for admission ?

  5. Q. What are the Admission Eligibilities for English medium Students ?
    A. An English medium Student must have to complete minimum five subjects in O level and 2 subjects in A level. Out of these 7 subjects the students must have minimum  4 'B' Grade and 3 'C' Grade . Others admission criteria will be followed strictly.

  7. Q. What documents are needed at the time of Admission ?
    A. Have to show the main certificate & transcript of SSC and HSC or any other background (For verification ). Have to submit a photo copy of all certificates & transcripts. Have to submit 5pcs of photograph (Recent & Formal).
  8. Q. Whether any financial aid is available for the poor students?

  9. Q. Do you accept Credit Transfer Student? If yes, what is the procedure?
    A. DIU accepts credit transfer student in few programs, but the student must fulfill the minimum criteria set by the Equivalence Committee, i.e. student will have to submit his/her academic transcripts of previous institution and apply for credit acceptance certificate. Students are allowed to transfer from other universities upon positive certification from the Committee.
  10. Q. I am a service holder but interested to get a Job oriented extra degree for career growth, is it possible?
    A. Yes, Daffodil International University offers some of the most demanding job oriented courses in the evening (MBA, M.Pharmacy, MPH, M. Sc. in CSE/SWE/MIS/TE/ETE/, B. Sc. in CSE/ETE/TE , LLM (Final), MA in English (Final), MSS in JMC, etc.). Thus, a service holder may also study here.   11. Q. How many students have pass out from DIU?
    A. So far around 7,500 students (272 in the 1st Convocation, 744 in the 2nd Convocation, 3221 in the 3rd Convocation and 3252 in the 4th Convocation) have passed out from Daffodil International University and most of them are employed in local and MNC Company, some are perusing higher study in abroad.
  12. Q. Whether the university has any international collaboration/credit transfer facilities?
    A. Yes, at present Daffodil International University has collaboration with many foreign reputed universities, where DIU students may transfer their credits if they fulfill admission criteria of the concern university. Students will also get waiver on tuition fees for the accepted courses by the foreign university.     A. The management of Daffodil International University is well aware to create a congenial educational environment in the campus. Thus, it provides all sorts of facilities required for smooth development of mental and physical growth of a student.   17. Q. Whether residential facilities available for the students?

  18. Q. Whether safety resources exist in the university?
    A. Yes, the university has required safety measures for emergency. University has own Physician for its students, teachers and staffs. Beside these in every floor fire control facilities and CC Camara are available.
  19. Q. How can parents and family members of current students stay informed?

  20. Q. Is there any short course that would get me a quick job?

  21. Q. Is there any part-time job available for the poor students in the university?
    A. Yes, considering the potentiality, university provides part-time job facilities for the real needy students in different sections of the university, in condition that the student will spend the money only for his/her academic purposes.
  22. Q. Whether the university provides extra curricular facilities for recreation?
    A. Yes, the university organizes various cultural programs and fashion shows in different occasions, participate various indoor and outdoor sports competition. Beside these, each Department organizes one/two daylong Annual Picnic program.
