History

Founded in 2007, the Department of Law, Daffodil International University is one of the fastest-growing law schools in the county with accomplished faculty members and state-of-the-art facilities featuring classrooms, a moot courtroom, and a rich library equipped with the latest technology. DIU Law Department fosters close interactions among students and faculty, creating a lively intellectual community.

We offer courses suitable for students interested in following a career in law. DIU Law Department offers four years of LLB (Hon's) and LLM programs for students to equip them with extensive knowledge on various substantive and procedural aspects of the law. Our faculty members are experts in their respective areas of law and dynamic teachers in the classroom. We also offer a rigorous curriculum attuned to the needs of the legal profession.

DIU Law Department hosts the Daffodil Moot Court Society (DMCS) which is a student-run organization that arranges and participates in various moot court competitions on a regular basis. DMCS has successfully participated in the Henry Dunant Memorial Moot Competition organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) and the National Moot Court Competition organized by Empowerment through Law of the Common People (ELCOP). Our students have also participated in the Human Rights Summer School (HRSS) and proved their mettle among the students from other top- ranked law schools. DIU Law Department always encourages its students in all kinds of games and sports. Our students have won numerous trophies in football, cricket, volleyball, and other sports.
