The International Affairs Office is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the COP30 Simulation Fellowship, a prestigious youth-led initiative simulating the UN Climate Change Conference (COP). This program brings together outstanding students from across the globe to engage in high-level climate negotiations and policymaking.

📍 On-Campus in Cairo | Potential Trip to COP30 in Brazil

🗓️ Deadline: May 31, 2025

🔹 Key Activities

✨ Online Training (July–Aug): 2 weeks of expert-led sessions on climate literacy, diplomacy & youth action.

✨ Policy Papers: Develop impactful climate proposals with international mentors.

✨ Simulation Conference (Sep/Oct): Fully-funded, 6-day COP30 mock conference at BUE, Cairo.

✨ Simulation Declaration: Present and vote on youth-led resolutions, published for COP30.

✨ COP30 Brazil (Nov): Top delegates will travel to Belem to present at the official COP30.

Who Should Apply?

🌱 DIU University students (undergraduate or postgraduate)

🌱 Passionate about climate policy, diplomacy, and international affairs

🌱 Eager to develop skills in public speaking, negotiation, critical thinking, and research
