Short Description

Welcome to the Microprocessor & Embedded System Laboratory, a well-equipped facility designed to support hands-on learning and research in critical areas of electronics and computing. This lab serves as a foundation for various courses, including Digital Signal Processing Lab, Microprocessor and Interfacing Lab, and Embedded System Design Lab. With a robust array of equipment, students gain practical experience and technical proficiency, bridging theoretical knowledge with real-world applications in signal processing and embedded systems.

Objectives:

Short Description

The Circuit Laboratory is a dedicated space for the design, construction, and testing of electronic circuits, fully equipped with essential tools such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, ammeters, and soldering stations. This lab enables students and engineers to experiment with various components, analyze circuit behavior, and develop practical skills in electronics and circuit theory. Courses conducted in this lab include Electrical Circuits, Digital Logic Design, and Electronic Devices and Circuits, providing a comprehensive, hands-on learning experience in foundational and advanced electronics.

The lab will cover the following experiments: 

01. Familiarization with simple resistance measurements 

02. Resistors in series and parallel circuits, and their faults as shorts and opens.

03. Oscilloscope 

04. Resistors networks, Millman's and reciprocity theorems. 

05. Solution of resistive network, power at DC. 

06. Electromotive force and internal resistance of voltage source, maximum power transfer, and star/delta conversion. 

07. RMS value of an AC waveform. 

08. Capacitors in series and parallel.

09. Time constants and inductance. 

10. Pulse response of RL and RC circuit. Resistive, inductive and capacitive at ac circuits. 

11. Damping in RLC circuits 

Objectives: 

This course aims to give a practical view on the theoretical subject.

  • To be familiar with resistors' circuits, connections, and faults
  • To get to know the oscilloscope device and its usage. 
  • To be familiar with resistors networks and their solutions with different electrical theorems. 
  • To get to know power calculations and rms value of any signal. 
  • To be familiar with capacitors and inductors and the response of their circuits

It fosters essential skills  in software engineering, algorithms, and problem-solving, supporting students and professionals in their journey toward coding proficiency and technical excellence

The objectives of this computer lab are-
