The Department of Marketing at Daffodil International University successfully organized an event titled “From Classroom to Market: Orientation, Fall-2025” on 24th September 2025 at the Marketing Lab, Knowledge Tower, DIU. The program was graced by the presence of the honorable Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Pro Vice-Chancellor of DIU, who delivered an inspiring speech and shared valuable guidance with the students. His motivational words encouraged the young learners to prepare themselves with confidence for the challenges of the corporate world.

The program began with a welcome speech by Dr. Dewan Golam Yazdani Showrav, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Marketing. In his presentation, he highlighted the distinctive features of the BBA in Marketing program, including its mission, vision, and curriculum. Alongside classroom learning, Dr. Showrav emphasized the importance of practical exposure through workshops, seminars, and case competitions, reflecting the Department of Marketing’s strong commitment to bridging the gap between industry and academia.

The Head of the Department then welcomed the Special Guest of the event, Mr. Sayed Azaz Ahmed, General Manager of Brand at bKash, who conducted an insightful session on “bKash: Story of the Best Brand of Bangladesh.” Students had the unique opportunity to benefit from his expertise, gaining practical knowledge and career-oriented guidance that will help them transition successfully from classroom to market.

The event also featured a vibrant cultural program, where the talented students of the Department of Marketing showcased their creativity and enthusiasm. Their lively performances added an extra layer of charm and made the occasion even more memorable.
