Department of Marketing Successfully Organized “BRAND YOU: A Skill Development Series for Future Professionals (Session 1 – Professional Branding)”

The Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship, Daffodil International University, successfully organized an inspiring and knowledge-packed event titled “BRAND YOU: A Skill Development Series for Future Professionals (Session 1 – Professional Branding)”. The session focused on three essential components of professional growth — Crafting CVs, Communicating Effectively, and Building Networks through LinkedIn Management — aimed at preparing students for their transition from academia to the corporate world.

The program was graced by the presence of the Honorable Chief Guest, Professor Dr. Mohammad Rokibul Kabir, Dean of the Faculty of Business & Entrepreneurship, DIU. He delivered an inspiring speech and shared valuable guidance with the students. His motivational words encouraged the young learners to develop confidence, nurture their skills, and equip themselves to face future professional challenges with competence and integrity.

The session commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Dewan Golam Yazdani Showrav, Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Marketing. In his address, he discussed the distinctive features and importance of Professional Branding in today’s competitive world. He emphasized that Professional Branding is not just about building an attractive résumé but about cultivating a personal identity that reflects one’s values, expertise, and aspirations. Dr. Showrav highlighted that in the digital age, every professional interaction — from LinkedIn activity to workplace communication — contributes to shaping one’s brand. By maintaining authenticity, showcasing achievements, and demonstrating strong communication and networking skills, individuals can create a powerful professional image that opens doors to limitless career opportunities.

Following his remarks, the Head of the Department warmly welcomed the distinguished Special Guests of the event —

The Department of Marketing expresses sincere appreciation to these inspiring speakers for sharing their expertise and real-world experiences that significantly enriched the learning journey of the students.

The “BRAND YOU” initiative marks the beginning of a series of professional development sessions designed to equip Marketing students with essential employability and leadership skills. The Department remains committed to fostering an environment where academic knowledge meets practical competence — preparing students to become confident, capable, and future-ready professionals.

A global Collective Effort in the classroom: A National Curriculum Policy for Bangladesh to Build Youth Capacity for Green Jobs in Alignment with the sharm EL-S

Md. Shariful Islam, Student of the Department of Information Technology & Management, DIU represented BANGLADESH at the the 𝐂𝐎𝐏𝟑𝟎 𝐒𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦𝐦𝐞 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 from October 2 to 9 hosted by The British University in Cairo, Egypt in partnership with UNDP Egypt.
From a competitive pool of 2,300+ applicants, 130 students from 47 countries and 91 universities were chosen and Shariful conference as a fully funded participant to present his policy research paper titled: “𝗔 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗿ã𝗼 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗹𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗺: 𝗔 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘂𝗺 𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗰𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗯𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗺 𝗘𝗹-𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗸𝗵 𝗔𝗱𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮 (𝗦𝗔𝗔) & 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 (𝗔𝗖𝗘)”, which ranked among the Top 10 research papers at the simulation.
