Before joining the teaching profession, I worked in reputed Textile and Clothing factories owned by Bangladeshi and foreign entrepreneurs. I successfully completed training on Universal Human Values (UHV) from College of Science and Technology (CST), Bhutan in 2017. Prior to that, I received B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Textile Engineering degree from the Department of Textile Engineering of DIU. Currently I am enrolled in PhD program at Jahangirnagar University. I have research interest on Nano-textile, Textile Quality Control and Compliance in Textile & Clothing industry. From 2016-2019, I served as Coordinator of M.Sc. in Textile Engineering program.
Daffodil International University has a strong division of research through which it encourages faculty members to conduct research, provides necessary supports including sufficient funding as well. Moreover, spectacular green permanent campus, faculty exchange program, IT based tools for teaching, proper guidance of teachers, laboratory facilities and system of education are also mentionable in this regard.
When I was in fourth semester, I along with some of my friends, seniors and juniors published a wall magazine named ‘MUSLIN’ from the Department of Textile Engineering. That was the first wall magazine of our Department and the name of the magazine was fixed by Prof. Dr. Aminul Islam, the founder Vice-Chancellor of DIU. The magazine was so attractive that some national newspapers made report on it. As the key initiator of the magazine, I can still remember it as a good memory of my University life.
DIU focuses on student centered learning system. It has various kinds of agreements with famous universities of Asia, Europe, America, Africa and Australia. Hence a student of DIU has the opportunity to get flavor of world class education in many ways. Besides, DIU continuously organizes workshop, seminars and other national & international events for the students so that they can cope up with the challenges of modern world. In addition, DIU not only teaches how to dream but also provides all essential facilities to make the dream true.
I hope that our DIU will be the center of excellence not only in the country but also in the globe.
