Program Overview/ Information

Under an academic collaboration between the Daffodil International University (DIU), Bangladesh and Birmingham City University (BCU), United Kingdom (UK), Students of MPH program of DIU will be awarded a separate Master of Public Health (MPH) degree by the BCU, UK after Fulfilment of necessary requirements.

1. Total Credits: 180

a) Modules (6*20=120 Credits):

b) Dissertation: (60 Credits)

Dissertation work will be directly supervised by the BCU.

2. Academic Requirements:

a. For the students with MPH degree from DIU:

  1. Students who will enroll in the MPH program of DIU will be directly eligible for the BCU’s Program.

b. For the students with MPH degree from other than DIU.

  1. An MPH degree should be accomplished from the list of the following institutions. The list includes all the Public Universities, BRAC, NSU, AIUB, SUB, and IUB.
  2. CGPA/GPA must be or above 3.5 on the scale of 4.0.
  3. Any academic credential with a GPA below 2.5 is not acceptable.
  4. Students must complete 6 modules mentioned above of MPH program.
  5. If anyone miss any course from 6 modules, they need to complete the required course from the Department of Public Health of Daffodil International University.

3. Cost Structure

Student with MPH degree obtained from other Universities than DIU £ 1500 ( BDT as per pound rate) BDT 50,000 In this regard, total fee depends on the issues of this core course is accomplished during the MPH degree, no need to take additional courses for being an eligible candidate. Otherwise, students are compiled to complete 6- core courses at DIU.

4. Convocation:

Graduates will be able to attend the Convocation at BCU, UK (at own cost) and collect certificates.
