A learning session on “Road Safety & Social Engagement of Students” was held on April 20, 2014 at DIU Auditorium for the newly admitted students of summer semester 2014. The session was facilitated by 
country’s renowned actor and Chairman of ‘Nirapad Sharak Chai’ Mr. Ilias Kanchan. Newly admitted students for Summer Semester 2014, participated in this session with great enthusiasm and shared their views. Mr. Kanchan, advised the participants to use foot over bridges, especially to be more careful while crossing the roads. He also stressed on to follow and maintains traffic rules while passing through the streets for safety. He advised the students to love their life, not only for themselves, but also for their family, society and for the country. Finally he urged to create massive campaign and increase public awareness about safe road; and he expressed his great confidence and beliefs that our young generation can make this successfully.
The program helped to create awareness among students regarding use of foot over bridges while crossing the roads and to follow traffic rules while passing through the streets for safety.
