Short Description
The goal of the Laboratory is to provide students with the necessary skills in performing pharmaceutical calculations and to promote students learning by performing full experimental work on physical pharmacy topics covered in this course such as partition phenomena, phase equilibria and solubility. This lab will provide the students with practical training in formulation of oral liquid dosage forms such as syrups, effervescent solutions, infusions, decoctions, washes, elixirs and aromatic waters.

Short Description
This Lab is Utilized for the Synthesis and identification of Organic Medicinal Compounds. The Lab is equipped with modern infrastructure like distillation still, rotary vacuum evaporator, hot air ovens and fume cupboard. For the synthesis of medicinal compounds a retrosynthetic strategy is planned in a manner so that the theoretical as well as practical yield of the compound or the intermediate is maximum. The medicinal compounds may be synthesized in single step or more than five steps. Thermo labile compounds are treated at low temperatures using rotary vacuum evaporators. Fume cupboard is used for the explosive (like metal hydrides) synthetic reactions or when the reagents are corrosive or lachrymatory in nature. After the synthesis of medicinal compounds its purity is checked by Thin layer chromatography and melting point determination techniques. The compound is tested for its identification and limit tests as per standards.

Organic Pharmacy lab deals with the structure, properties, and reactions of organic compounds and other materials that contain carbon and involves the study of chemical reactions. Conduct scientific studies on the chemistry of DNA, proteins, and carbohydrates. Medicinal Chemistry lab design and chemical synthesis focusing mainly on small organic molecules and their development of pharmaceutical agents, or bio-active molecules (drugs). Pharmaceutical Chemistry is the same plus the science of pharmaceutical and biomedical analysis to the synthesized agents.

Short Description
The Laboratory is to familiarize students with the research methodology, to enhance team skills in drug development and to learn at least two kinds of drug screening methods.
The aim of the laboratory will be to generate clinical orientation pertaining to the treatment of disease and correlating the pharmacological concepts with diverse medical simulative treatments on a mannequin. In addition to it, a brief introduction to Drug delivery devices and hands on practice on different routes of drug administration will also be provided. There will be additional facilities for Theoretical introduction on clinical research, Therapeutic drug monitoring, and adverse drug reaction reporting.
